About

What Makes Us Different?

At Beneath the Streets, we prioritize factual and historical narratives that illuminate the birth of Seattle, featuring 1890s architecture and stories of the Klondike Gold Rush, Skid Row, and the Coast Salish Peoples who first inhabited the area. Our tour guides engage in ongoing professional development through workshops focused on cultural traditions and history, collaborating with esteemed historians and Native Tribal members to enhance the authenticity of our tours.

Small & Intimate

We prioritize our guests by keeping our group sizes limited to 25 people, ensuring an intimate and engaging Beneath the Streets experience.

Where Do We Go?

We explore four city blocks of historic Pioneer Square and three underground passageways originally constructed in the 1890s. You’ll discover the neighborhood’s rich history from both the original and current street levels.
